Speech and actions

Despite Gokudera’s high intelligence he doesn’t sound like one. The way he talk and his mannerism is that of a normal teenager. Actually, I find Gokudera very loud, in spite his intelligence he easily deceived (especially by Reborn).

He is also fond of giving nicknames to everyone, like Yamamoto for instance, he called him baseball nut, Ryohei as lawn head, Haru as stupid woman, Lambo as stupid cow and so on and so forth. It might sound funny (and offensive for that person, lol) at least he is quite well on perceiving people’s personality. When in regular situations he sounds normal but sometimes his geek side shows, an example is when they are teaching Tsuna how to swim, unlike Yamamoto who teach through reflexes (or luck) he shows him a diagram of on how to properly swim with theory, gadgets and everything.

Another good proof of his sort of a nerdy character is his interest to animals and nature. In fact, his favorite magazine, The Wonders and Mysteries of the World is about well, wonders of the world. He likes Yetti, Ogopogo and Nessie which are mythical creatures.
