Although I don’t want to sound really redundant as I already have but I guess I have no choice but to discuss Gokudera’s personality, although if you’re a fan it’s pretty much obvious what type of character he is. According to a site (sorry forgot where) of how to analyze a character, there are four types, these are:

Round: A complex and fully developed character.
Dynamic: A character that develops throughout the story.
Flat: A character described by one or two traits.
Static: A character that does not change from the beginning of the story to its end.

I don’t think he is a Round type, although his character is complex but I don’t think his character is that developed already. I don’t see Gokudera as the Flat type of character either, he is much more than two traits because if he is then this shrine would be useless, this is what I want to achieve, Gokudera’s personality is much diverse than what he is been stereotyped. And never (ever) will I viewed Gokudera as Static, because it will be boring.

So what’s left? Dynamic. Gokudera is a dynamic character, a type which develops throughout the story. Remember when we first saw him, he is kind of guy who likes to pick a fight, bully the weak or typecast as delinquent (Hana even still called him like that). But after Tsuna saved him he realized that apart from him there is someone who thinks of his safety. And as Tsuna gains friends he also find himself involved with other people, now his world which he secluded to himself has started to become more broad. He has a bad boy image, although his objective is to be feared, as opposed to his purpose, the girls like him for it. Really, even I question myself if I will fall for a scary looking guy but who knows. But at some point we girls find it romantic and very appealing, yes? Gokudera is really a good example of “look can be deceiving” type, behind this aggressive looking image, he is smart guy, and he excels in exams much to their teacher’s shock, he is really beyond expectations. According to some information I got, the reason why he is very smart is because since he is a rich kid, he has home (academic) tutors to teach him.

He is also a loner, but now he started to open up, at first only to Tsuna but now even to other people. He is not living only for himself, a characteristic which was changed as the story progress.
